Where are Al Qasimia and Al Nud?
Al Qasimia is an area in central Sharjah city, and Al Nud is one of its quarters. Its neighbours include Al Majaz, Al Manakh, Abu Shagara and Bu Daniq, and it lies between Mega Mall and King Faisal Mosque.
The nearest main roads are King Faisal Street, Al Ittihad Road and the Corniche Road, putting it in the old heart of the city, close to its markets and bus stations.
Not to be confused with Al Qasimia City
Three places in Sharjah share a similar name: Al Qasimia in the city centre, which this page is about; "Al Qasimia City", a separate industrial land project far away near Al Madam on the Dubai–Hatta road; and Al Qasimia University in University City.
So if you see a listing for "land in Al Qasimia", first check which one it means: the type of land, the price and the rules are completely different.
What is around Al Nud?
The area's landmarks include King Faisal Mosque, opened in 1987 with room for about 16,670 worshippers, and Al Mahatta Museum, built in 1932 as a stop for Imperial Airways flights and now an aviation museum.
Al Nud has its own small park, Al Nad Park, and King Faisal Street has large supermarkets. Several bus routes serve the area; Sharjah has no metro.
Since July 2026, paid public parking in Sharjah city is charged until midnight, with Fridays and holidays free except in 7-day zones, so a building's own parking is a real advantage here.
Building plots and buildings in Al Nud
In a busy city centre like Al Qasimia, a plot's value comes more from how many floors you can build than from its size: a small plot with a high permit can carry a large building. Permits differ from plot to plot, so ask for the plot's official planning data before you buy.
